Unwashed fabric. Shrinkage approximately 6-8%.

A classic versatile linen fabric in with naturally occurring slubs. This plain-woven linen fabric has an earthy and natural feel, starts crisp, and gets softer with every washing over time. Great thick linen fabric for homeware projects such as aprons, tea towels, cushions, and soft furnishings or clothing like jackets, pants, tunics, and skirts.

We recommend ordering a linen swatch before purchasing, as each piece is cut to order and therefore non-returnable unless faulty.

Joshua ★★★★★

It starts off stiff and crisp right out of the package, but after one wash it softened up nicely and only shrank about the amount they said it would. I cut it for curtains and the plain weave hangs beautifully, though you do need to pre-wash before sewing anything fitted.

Ruby ★★★★★

The slubs give it such a natural, earthy texture that it doesn't look flat like the cheaper linen I've bought before. I made a summer dress and it's already softening up nicely with each wash. Just account for the 6-8% shrinkage before you cut.

I pre-washed it before sewing curtains and it shrank about as much as the listing said, so no nasty surprises. It starts off crisp and stiff but softens up nicely after a couple of washes. The slubs give it that natural, slightly imperfect texture I was after.
